U.2 NVMe Drive Enclosure
The U.2 interface (also known as SFF-8639 interface) is a new high-performance standard interface primarily used for SSDs (Solid State Drives). It delivers higher speed and better compatibility than traditional SATA interfaces. This design enables easy integration into servers and storage systems equipped with 2.5-inch drive bays and connectors.
Native PCIe Connectivity
Requires a dedicated U.2 NVMe backplane inside the chassis, connecting directly to the motherboard's U.2 interface or PCIe expansion card via high-speed cables (such as SFF-8643 or SFF-8654), supporting full PCIe 4.0/5.0 bandwidth.
Active Thermal Management
The 2.5-inch metal housing acts as a heatsink, and chassis airflow is typically designed to provide efficient cooling for these drive bays.
Server Integration Level
Directly integrates into server storage backplanes, deeply integrated with server management systems for easy maintenance and administration.
